It provides congregate living for elderly persons who prefer the comfort and safety available at Summercrest, but do not require the services of a nursing home.

  Summercrest's two-story 28,000 square foot clapboard building is reminiscent of a New England-style inn, while accommodating the various needs of its individual residents. It is nestled in a quiet setting of natural beauty just a half mile from downtown Newport, featuring 24 studio, ten 1-bedroom and two 2-bedroom apartments. These 36 units are flexibly designed to accommodate individual tastes.
  The facility offers a variety of opportunities for socialization, therapeutic services, exercise and wellness programs.
