Since 1998 Summercrest has been an integral part of older adult care and services in central New Hampshire. Located at the crest of the hill on Summer Street in Newport, Summercrest is owned by a group of four local businessmen in partnership with Valley Regional Hospital. Their ongoing commitment in this partnership is to provide a safe, nurturing place for aging friends and neighbors so they may stay in the Newport community.

Summercrest is home to residents at varying stages of life and ability. We offer Independent Living, Independent Living with Assistance and Memory Care. The Seasons, our state of the art memory care center is new to our community in 2008. Short term respite stays are offered in all levels of care according to availability.

The feel is residential, warm and comfortable with 36 apartments, 16 state of the art memory care studio apartments, a library, restaurant style dining room, community living room, sun rooms, hair salon, activity room and sundries store. Summercrest is unique in that we are one of the few communities in New Hampshire able to offer assisted living and housing for those who qualify for the low income housing and the Choices For Independence (CFI).
