Dear Summercrest Community:
As you may be aware Friday, March 13, 2020, Governor Christopher Sununu declared a state of emergency related to the virus known as COVID-19. As part of this declaration Governor Sununu provided guidance for Assisted Living Facilities like ours. This guidance is as follows:
Beginning at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, March 15 all assisted living facilities, long term care facilities, nursing facilities, residential care facilities, as those terms are defined in RSAs 151- 151-H, or any other similar facilities providing residential care to elderly or infirm patients, shall prohibit visitor access to reduce facility-based transmission of COVID-19. This prohibition shall not apply to medically necessary personnel, visitors for residents receiving end of life care, or visitors necessary to provide for a residents’ psychosocial needs as determined by a licensed medical care provider.
Summercrest Senior Living is, of course, complying with the Governor’s recommendations and will not be open to visitors at this time. Ensuring our residents are cared for in a safe and healthy environment is our greatest concern. We don’t have any cases in our community at this time.
We understand that connecting with family members is incredibly important, and there are a variety of other ways you might consider connecting with them. These may include telephone, email, text, or through Skype and Facebook. Please reach out to us if you would like assistance setting up a video chat or phone call with your loved one.
We will notify you if any residents or staff are diagnosed with COVID-19 and also if and when we modify our current approach in responding to this emergency. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 603-863-8181 or through email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
